What is Welty?

Welty is a local-first personal finance forecasting app. You enter your income sources, monthly expenses, and savings accounts, and Welty projects how your wealth grows over 2, 5, or 10 years. You can also set financial goals and run what-if simulations to see how changes affect your forecast.

Is my financial data stored on a server?

No. All your financial data is stored exclusively on your device. Welty is fully local-first — there is no account to create, no login required, and your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export a backup file.

How do I add incomes and expenses?

Open the Items tab (Tételek). Tap the + button to add a new income or expense item. Enter the name, amount, and category. Items are assigned to your active profile and are immediately included in the forecast.

What does the Forecast tab show?

The Forecast tab displays a projected balance chart for your chosen time horizon (2, 5, or 10 years, or a custom period). It uses a compound interest model based on your net monthly savings and the weighted average return of your savings accounts.

How do I set a financial goal?

Open the Goals screen from the overview. Tap + to add a goal with a target amount and optional deadline. Welty calculates the estimated date when your projected savings will reach the goal amount, based on your current forecast.

What is the Simulation tab?

The Simulation tab lets you run what-if scenarios. You can temporarily adjust your income, expenses, or savings rate to see how the changes would affect your long-term forecast — without modifying your actual data.

What is Welty Pro?

Welty Pro is a one-time lifetime upgrade. It unlocks unlimited financial profiles (useful for households or different scenarios), and the data backup & restore feature. There are no subscriptions or recurring fees.

How do I restore my Welty Pro purchase on a new device?

Open Settings inside the app and tap "Restore purchase". Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. Your Pro entitlement will be restored automatically.

How do I back up and restore my data?

Welty Pro includes a backup feature. Go to Settings → Export data to save a .wbak backup file to your device or iCloud. To restore, tap Settings → Import data and select your backup file. This lets you transfer all your data to a new device.

How do I request a refund?

All purchases are processed by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support through the App Store app.
