Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Storm Focus mobile application ("Storm Focus", "we", "us"). By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms.

1. Service Description

Storm Focus is a local-first Pomodoro focus timer app with cinematic ambience scenes (rain, thunder, snow, and more). You start focus sessions, choose an ambience scene, and track your daily focus minutes and streaks. All session data and statistics are stored and calculated entirely on your device.

2. Local-First & No Account Required

Storm Focus does not require you to create an account. All your session history, statistics, and settings are stored exclusively on your device. We do not operate servers that hold your personal data. You are solely responsible for your data on your device.

3. Storm Focus Pro — In-App Purchase

Storm Focus offers a one-time lifetime upgrade ("Storm Focus Pro") that unlocks the following features: • All ambience scenes — access every storm scene including Storm City, Suburban, Forest, Ocean, Snow Storm, and future additions. • Daily focus statistics — view your weekly bar chart, streaks, and all-time focus totals. • Deep Focus mode — immersive full-screen timer with zero distractions for long work blocks. • Goal tracking — set a time goal or session count target; the timer stops automatically when done. • Custom timer — set your own focus duration, short break, and long break durations. • Advanced settings — auto-advance sessions, silence ambience on break, auto-start ambience, and more. Purchase terms: • Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. By purchasing you also agree to Apple's payment terms. • Price: as displayed in the App Store at the time of purchase. • No subscription, no recurring charges: Storm Focus Pro is a single lifetime payment. • Restore purchase: restore your Pro entitlement for free via Settings → Restore purchase, using the same Apple ID as the original purchase. • Refunds: handled by Apple under their App Store refund policy. We do not issue refunds directly.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree not to: • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app. • Use the app for any unlawful purpose. • Circumvent or attempt to bypass In-App Purchase entitlement checks.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that: • The app will be free of errors or uninterrupted. • Ambience audio will play in all possible device states or configurations. • The app will be compatible with all devices or operating system versions.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to data loss or loss of focus session history, arising from your use of the app.

7. Service Availability

Because Storm Focus is a local-first app, its core timer and ambience functionality works entirely offline without any server dependency. We do not guarantee the availability of App Store purchase verification services, which are operated by Apple.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hungary, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the app shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hungary.

9. Apple Inc. — App Store

Storm Focus is distributed through the Apple App Store. The following terms apply with respect to Apple: • This agreement is solely between you and Farkas Sándor (the developer). Apple is not a party to this agreement. • Apple has no obligation whatsoever to provide any maintenance or support services with respect to Storm Focus. • Apple is not responsible for any product liability claims, consumer protection claims, intellectual property infringement claims, or any other claims relating to Storm Focus. • In the event of any third-party claim that Storm Focus or your possession and use of it infringes a third party's intellectual property rights, Apple will not be responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement or discharge of that claim. • You must comply with applicable third-party terms of service when using Storm Focus (e.g. your mobile carrier's terms). • Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement, and upon your acceptance of these terms, Apple will have the right to enforce this agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
